LET OUR INSTRUCTORS TELL YOU WHAT THIS MEANS TO THEM

I grew up in Thousand Oaks. It’s a beautiful city with a beautiful community residing in it. After 25 years, it was VERY difficult to leave. But, with my growing family, it was necessary to move on. I always look forward to visiting my parents every chance I get! They still live in TO.

I took on a PlyoJam class the same morning I found out I was expecting. 🙂 I had NEVER found such a fun way of incorporating dance and plyometrics. I was VERY familiar with both and quickly became obsessed with learning as many routines as I could. Stacey trusted me to teach my favorites from time to time and encouraged me to get certified. I was SUPER excited to begin my own PlyoJamFam in the city of Santa Clarita!

I enjoy teaching PlyoJam because I know the deeper benefits of working your heart, mind, and body. I want that for as many people as I can bring it to.

Given the recent events in my hometown… I feel it’s important now more than ever to encourage a healthy lifestyle. What better place to start than with your mind? PlyoJam allows you to focus on nothing but the music, the steps, and those beads of sweat coming down your face. You’re left with a rush of endorphins and a glow from within.

I am looking forward to helping put this fundraiser on for my hometown.
Growing up in this community was one of the best gifts my parents could have given me.  As an Agoura High School graduate and former cheerleader and songleader, it makes it incredibly meaningful that we get to host this event at my alma mater – in a space where I have danced so many times.  After having my first child, my goal was to get back here as soon as I could to raise my own family in a place that gave me so many wonderful childhood memories.

One of the things I missed most about living in the city was the access to adult dance classes.  When I found PlyoJam, it truly filled that void and quickly became so much more than a class…it is a community in itself…and frankly it’s my “dance therapy.”  I soon told everyone I knew about the special class I found and have loved watching our PlyoJam community grow ever since.  From the moment I stepped foot on that dance floor I made it a goal to become a certified PlyoJam instructor.

When multiple tragedies struck our area, the devastation seemed unbearable.  Watching our community come together to lift each other up in the worst of times we’ve seen has really solidified why I feel so grateful to live here.  I can’t wait to share the love I have for PlyoJam with our community, while giving back to those affected by the tragic events – not only through 100% of our proceeds, but by providing some “dance therapy” to the community we love so very much!

I am a PlyoJam student, turned instructor, because it was the best way for me to do PlyoJam as much as I possibly could! This workout makes me sweat, burn calories, build stamina and feel amazing while I’m having fun dancing the time away. My family moved to Agoura Hills so our children could be a part of a strong community – “it takes a village,” and that is what our friends, neighbors and general community here has become for us. Everyone who lives and works here makes a difference in the quality of our lives, and we want to make a positive difference in the quality of theirs as well. This is why I want to support the families of the victims of the Borderline shooting and those who were impacted by the Woolsey fire…so they know their community cares to make their lives better.

FAQ's

PlyoJam is one of Los Angeles’ hottest hip-hop cardio dance fitness formats, with classes offered globally. We combine easy to follow hip hop dance routines with plyometric inspired movements for a killer, sweaty and FUN workout.  Routines are set to all the hottest hits and some old school throwbacks, making it feel like a sweaty party! Our brand has been featured in People Magazine, SELF magazine, SHAPE magazine and Prevention, and is loved by celebrities such a Reese Witherspoon and Kate Hudson.

We will evenly split the proceeds from our event between the two causes so near and dear to our hearts.  For the victims of the Woolsey fire we will be donating to the LV Fire Relief Fund. Please check out their site HERE. For the families of the victims of the Borderline, we will be donating through the Ventura County Community Foundation. Check them out HERE.

We are definitely looking for event sponsors and for local businesses to donate raffle prizes.  Please email us at stacey@plyojam.com if you are interested in helping out in some capacity.

Come ready to workout!  Comfy workout gear, sturdy sneakers, a sweat towel, and a pony tail holder for long hair.

Absolutely!  PlyoJam is not about being a perfect dancer.  The routines are patterned and easy to follow. It’s all about having fun, moving your body and being good to your heart! And MOST IMPORTANTLY giving back to our community.

Unfortunately no. We cannot make exceptions on the age.  If your child is between 12-17 years of age, he or she is welcome to attend, accompanied by an adult.  The adult will be asked to sign a waiver for the minor in attendance.

OF COURSE we want you there from start to finish.  However, that should not deter you from attending.  Come when you can, leave when you need to.

The class will be held in the G building/MPR at Agoura High School. There is plenty of parking all around the campus!
