PLYOJAM CLASS LEVEL DESCRIPTIONS
Online Dance Fitness Classes

BEGINNER CLASSES

Beginner classes are designed for those online class members who are just starting their PlyoJam journey. These dance fitness classes are meant for those who are just starting out and might need a bit of a slower introduction to the workout.  

Beginner classes are 30 minutes in length and led by a single instructor with no other participants in the video.  The filmed perspective of the workout is angled behind the instructor, as if you are in class with him or her.  This allows you to model your movement and footwork after the instructor and not have any confusion on direction. Our beginner instructor will teach routines that are low to medium intensity level, and will clearly demonstrate modifications for students who need a lower intensity option.  The instructor will also take a little more time to break down choreography that may be tricky to follow. 

One new beginner class is added to the online class portal per month.

INTERMEDIATE CLASSES

Intermediate Dance Fitness Classes - PlyoJam

Intermediate classes are designed for online class members who are ready for the next challenge.  At this point you feel comfortable with performing plyometrics, even if it’s the modified version. You are also starting to feel more comfortable with the patterns and 8 count combos you see in PlyoJam workouts.   

Intermediate dance fitness classes are 30 minutes in length and led by an instructor, along with two back up dancers.  The filmed perspective of the workout is facing the student. As you dance you will mirror the instructor and his or her back up dancers. Our intermediate classes will include a combination of routines that are low, medium and high intensity level, and the instructor will still demonstrate modifications for students who need a lower intensity option.  The instructor will not take time to break down choreography in the intermediate classes.

ADVANCED CLASSES

Advanced Dance Fitness Classes - PlyoJam

Advanced classes are designed for the online class members who are ready to go full out and experience peak PlyoJam performance. You feel comfortable with performing modified or full plyometric movements and 8 count combos, and you are ready for maximum calorie burn! Students have been known to burn 700-900 calories in a full hour of PlyoJam. 

Advanced dance fitness classes are 60 minutes in length and led by PlyoJam creator Jason Layden. The filmed perspective of the workout is a combination of the instructor facing the mirror and the student.  Our advanced classes will include a combination of routines that are low, medium and high intensity level, and the instructor will quickly demonstrate modifications for students who need a lower intensity option.  The instructor will not take time to break down choreography in the advanced classes.
